Sales Policy

Membership & Payment Policy

  • All CSA memberships must be paid in advance based on the selected option (Full-Season, Monthly, or Weekly Pay-As-You-Go).

  • Payments are non-refundable once the season begins, except under the circumstances outlined in our Cancellation Policy.

  • Founding Members who receive a discounted rate must commit to the full season.

Product Availability & Seasonal Variability

  • Our CSA is based on seasonal availability, and while we strive to provide a diverse share each week, the contents may vary due to weather, crop conditions, and unforeseen farming challenges.

  • If a crop fails or is unavailable, we may supplement shares with produce from another trusted local farm (within a 50-mile radius).

  • By purchasing a CSA share, you understand that nature plays a role in what is available each week.

Pickup & Delivery Policy

  • CSA pickup is scheduled for Thursdays, 4 PM – 7 PM at Native Roots Family Farm (4029 Hwy 86, Easley, SC).

  • Home delivery is available for an additional $5 per week within a 20-mile radius.

  • If you cannot pick up your share, you may:

    • Send a friend or family member to collect it OR

    • Donate your share to a local food pantry (must notify us in advance).

  • Unclaimed shares that are not picked up or rescheduled in advance will be donated, and no refunds will be issued.

Vacation Hold Policy

  • Each CSA member is entitled to one (1) Vacation Hold per season with at least 7 days' notice.

  • Vacation Hold Options:

    • Double Up Later: Receive extra produce in a future CSA box.

    • Gift It Forward: Donate that week’s share to a local food pantry or a friend.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Full-Season Memberships:

    • Before the season starts: Full refund minus a $25 administrative fee.

    • After the season starts: No refunds (members may transfer their share to someone else with prior approval).

  • Monthly Subscriptions:

    • Must be canceled at least 7 days before the next billing cycle.

    • No refunds for missed weeks or mid-month cancellations.

  • Weekly Pay-As-You-Go:

    • Orders must be canceled at least 48 hours before pickup/delivery to receive a refund or credit toward a future share.

    • No refunds for same-day cancellations.

Food Safety & Storage

  • Our produce is harvested fresh and rinsed, but we recommend washing it again at home before consumption.

  • Storage recommendations will be provided in weekly emails.

Communication & Farm Updates

Weekly CSA emails could include:

  • What’s in your CSA box

  • Storage & recipe tips

  • Farm news & updates

Members should ensure our emails are not going to spam and check for updates weekly.

Agreement & Contact Information

By purchasing a CSA share, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this CSA Sales Policy. You agree to the terms outlined and understand that CSA farming is subject to seasonal variations.
